Accuracy of ARFI elastography in the differentiation of cataract stages in dogs

ABSTRACT: Objective was to evaluate the accuracy of elastography in differentiation between normal and cataract lenses One hundred forty-five eyes 98 dogs were divided into groups according stage. Forty-twoeyes submitted phacoemulsification. Biometric parameters, echogenicity echotexture patterns anterior, posterior vitreous chambers, lens retina-choroid-sclera complexes evaluated by ocular ultrasound modes A B. Values lower 2.23m/s suggest mature cataract, 71% 76%. greater 2.66 m/s are associated or presenting 94% 84%. Qualitative method allowed healthy affected classification evolutionary stages.
